The Flyer 8 Sundeck exceeds regular day boat standards by combining comfort, generous space and sensations. Its highly optimized design makes it the ideal boat for a weekend getaway. A decent-sized cabin lies beneath a large sunbathing area for lazing in the sun.

#1: Interior accommodation.

For an 8 metre boat there is a surprising amount of interior accommodation with the convertible saloon area making a large double berth, decent galley area with sink, microwave and 12v fridge options.

To the starboard side Beneteau have also given the option for a heads compartment with sea toilet and 85l holding tank.

A great use of space for an overnight stay away.

#2: Sundeck.

For any sun lovers there is a lovely area on the foredeck for catching some rays. Comfortable thick sunpad, cup holders and wide side decks for access make this area a very popular spot. Nice touch when you order the Elegance upholstery option is the black rails throughout.

#3: Space

With the boat certified to carry 11 people you may be concerned about space. However the cockpit is massive for an 8 metre boat and with the seating options and swivel bucket seats you can realistically seat 9 to 10 in the cockpit.

A Teak table compliments the cockpit and cleverly stows away in the floor locker.

#4: The ride!

Doing this job I have driven a lot of boats from 15ft up to 60+ but I genuinely really enjoyed the drive on this boat. We went out with three people on board on a cold spring day and flat seas. Powered on this occasion by the New Suzuki DF325ATX duo prop engine the boat leapt forward and hit 25 knots cruising easily and smoothly. Increasing the throttle pushed her up over the 40 knot mark (see fuel figures) with control and stability.

Not only is the engine a revelation in the industry giving better thrust and control but the big difference in this boat is the hull. The Beneteau patented Airstep2 hull is fabulous! A wide transom together with the grooves and chines in the hull suck air in give this boat a soft, smooth and comfortable ride and if you feel like “throwing it around” a bit, you can and still feel safe and stable….
