Azimut Seadeck 6 Review: Exterior Design

The Azimut Seadeck 6 is a head-turner from every angle. Its coupé-style silhouette is clean and contemporary. Expansive wrap-around windows, barrier-less sides, deep walk-around decks, and signature cut-out bulwarks enhance a feeling of connection to the sea.

Her standout feature is the open, beach club-style stern, dubbed the “Fun Island”. Combined with the balconies, the island extends the internal living space right out to the water’s edge, seamlessly blending interior and exterior to allow for limitless contact with the water.

40% of the Seadeck 6’s superstructure is also made from sustainable Carbon fibre, keeping the yacht’s weight down by 27 tonnes. This goes someway to reducing the fuel emissions of the model, whilst also contributing to its lightweight handling and the boat’s modern, stylish aesthetic. From bow to stern, the Seadeck 6 is a masterclass in minimalist elegance, purpose-built for luxurious, eco-conscious cruising.

Azimut Seadeck 6: Sea Trial

Out on the water, the Azimut Seadeck 6 delivers a commanding yet refined performance that underscores its modern engineering. During our sea trial, the yacht reached a top speed of 31.5 knots with the triple Volvo IPS 650 engines, while cruising comfortably at 22 knots. Whilst there is nothing especially stand-out about the model’s power, the vessel mainly distinguishes itself with its poise and silent handling.

Thanks to the silent running of the hybrid hotel model, the Seadeck 6 cruises quietly, only notching around 60 decibels. The advanced hull design, which is wider at the stern and more streamlined at the bow, means that the transition from displacement to planing is almost imperceptible. There’s no noticeable hump or hesitation. Instead, there’s just a smooth rise in speed that enhances a feeling of comfort and control whilst handling. This fluid motion, combined with the silent running of the hybrid model, makes for a truly calm and serene cruising experience.

The triple smaller engines are also an interesting choice. These help to reduce drag by minimising the size of the underwater profile of the boat, which contributes to better efficiency and responsiveness. Steering is light and precise, with minimal lean even at tighter turns. She handles more like a nimble sport cruiser than a full-size 57ft yacht.

The sustainable carbon fibre-infused superstructure, combined with the recycled bottle hull, keeps the overall weight of the yacht down. This not only helps to make her feel more agile and seaworthy, but it also reduces fuel emissions, only consuming around 200 litres per hour. This design makes her fr more economical than other Azimut models, like the Magellano 60, which requires around 270 litres per hour.

Overall, whilst the Seadeck 6 performs about as well as most other superyachts, it stands out more for her quiet, smooth handling thanks to her lightweight design and hybrid model engine. The Seadeck 6 seems to glide effortlessly across the open the water, evoking a true sense of elegance and luxury whilst cruising.

On Deck

The Helm/ Cockpit

The helm of the Azimut Seadeck 6 is designed with both comfort and control in mind. The adjustable seating, which is controlled electronically, allows you to adjust your position for maximum comfort whilst cruising. You can move forwards, raise the seat, or extend leg rests with ease, whilst it also provides ample space for standing, if that is your preferred sailing method.

Surrounded by expansive glass panels, as well as balconies, the cockpit also provides exceptional sea visibility, ensuring you feel fully immersed in your surroundings. The helm is without a side door however, which is something to be aware of.

The vessel’s seamless blend of comfort and function underscores the Azimut’s commitment to marrying luxury with performance at every turn.

The Saloon and Galley

The interior decor follows the same beach house vibe of the Fun Isalnd, with pale woods, fabrics and surfaces all in the same neutral palette. As you might expect, the boat’s interior is well-lit with glass panels that further provides a sense of connection with the open water, ensuring you never quite feel entirely ‘inside’. Whilst the glass panel on the ceiling is not a sun-roof, it still provides excellent sunlight from above.

The galley is also very well-appointed and stores everything away discreetly to create a clean and cohesive look. A sizeable fridge, as well as a dishwasher, oven, cook-top and cabinets are all integrated subtly so that they are completely invisible when not being used. This provides a minimalist and luxurious finish for the boat’s interior, enhancing the overall appearance of the saloon. The galley also connects seamlessly with the rest of the deck, allowing you to continue socialising and enjoy cooking with lovely sea views.

The saloon is also well-appointed with a pop-out TV from the ceiling and a collapsable table. The helm is also complimented by ample storage compartments which are tucked away discreetly. These features ensure the vessel delivers on space optimisation and functionality onboard – without sacrificing luxury or aesthetics. With its clean minimalist design, smart storage, and functional features, convenience and style is integrated into every aspect of the Seadeck 6, right down to the smallest detail.

Complementing the deck is the spacious side decks and balconies that allow you to further enjoy the sea views from all angles. On the fore-deck, you’ll also find more open and inviting spaces with sizeable sunpads, replete with drink cup holders and plenty of storage compartments.

The Aft Deck

Moving past the galley and out onto “The Fun Island” at the rear, the staggered platforms of the decking provide a sense of stepping out towards the sea, inviting you to enjoy the open water. Here, you’ll find the abundant comforts of the Island, creating a luxurious beach house vibe with simply stunning views of the open water.

The centrepiece of the deck’s island is a generously sized bathing platform, which doubles up as an additional seating area for socialising. Facing towards the rear, the platform acts as an ultra-comfy sun lounger that can seat up to 4 people. Facing towards the saloon, the platform doubles up as additional sofa seating. With an extendable sun-roof on the hard top, the island provides ample space for enjoying time with friends and family either in the cover of shade or in full view of the sun.

A collapsable table and fully adjustable back-rests allows you to customise the seating area of the island to suit your changing needs. One moment it can be an alfresco dining area, the next a more open area where everyone can be facing out towards the water with a drink in hand.

With the Azimut Seadeck 6, every design element seems to be incorporated with sea views in mind, ensuring it truly lives up to its name as a ‘Seadeck’.

The entire deck is also fitted with cork rather than teak. This is not only more sustainable, but also helps contribute towards the sleek, minimalist appearance of the boat’s exterior. It also feels great under foot, and dries quickly after being wetted. Once extended, the rear platform features built-in steps that take you down to a sizeable swimming platform, ensuring a seamless and inviting connection with the waterline.

Below Deck

This feeling of luxury and functionality extends below deck, which comprises a 3 cabin and two bathroom layout. The VIP cabin provides a good amount of space around the plush bedding, which gives a spacious feel to the cabin to ensure your guests feel comfortable onboard.

What the cabin might lack in lighting it makes up for with excellent head room, which gives a breathable element to the cabin, ensuring your guests won’t feel too cramped or enclosed

The VIP cabin also has private access to a generously sized bathroom. The bathroom is replete with stunning light fixtures and sleek, minimalist faucet, towel rail, and shower fittings that provide a real sense of understated luxury.

Next to the VIP cabin is the twin room cabin, which further provides a sense of luxury for guests onboard. Perfect for children, the twin cabin provides a good amount of storage space, natural lighting, reading lights, and a moderate amount of space.

The owner’s cabin is where the Azimut Seadeck 6 truly stands out however. Complimenting the king sized bed is a luxurious sofa area placed opposite, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea in the morning, having a quick read, or for relaxing after a long day. There’s also lots of space to move around, and plenty of storage for clothes, providing a true home-away-home feel to the cabin.

With far more natural lighting than the other cabins, you’ll find it easy to relax and unwind here, feeling very much like your own personal sanctuary—with sea views provided by the hull windows. The cabin is also complemented by a simply stunning private bathroom that is well lit, with a generously sized shower and plenty of storage.
