Lifting the veil on the Seadeck 9. As the pioneer in a new era of eco-conscious family motor yachts, Azimut’s Seadeck Series marks a turning point in environmental sustainability.
Representing the epitome of that innovative concept, the Seadeck 9 is the latest edition in the Seadeck Series, arriving in early 2026. It boasts exteriors by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.
The Fun Island, a hallmark of the Series, transforms the aft deck into a 60m² cascade of terraces with an integrated pool flanked by two sunbeds, which can slide to cover it.
It’s a design masterpiece that embraces nature, sharing, and freedom.
One of the standout features of this flagship will be its beach deck stern, incorporating fold-down quarter terraces and a Transformer swim platform.
Combined, these elements will create a three-tier cascading terrace spanning more than 650ft² (60m²), centred around a spa pool. Alberto Mancini is responsible for the Seadeck 9’s exterior styling and spatial layout, while the interiors have been designed by Milan-based studio Matteo Thun & Partners in its first-ever yacht project.
Each model in the range uses Volvo Penta diesel-electric hybrid propulsion systems with IPS pod drives.
The Seadeck series represents a major step toward a more sustainable future for the Italian shipyard, with extensive use of eco-conscious materials including cork and flax.
Azimut states that Seadeck yachts could cut CO² emissions from a typical year of operation, including cruising, anchoring and time spent in berth, by up to 40% compared with a traditional yacht of similar dimensions.
“Not only does that involve cutting-edge technologies in terms of emissions, propulsion and energy efficiency,” says Azimut-Benetti chairwoman Giovanna Vitelli, “but also an enhanced sense of wellbeing for everyone on board.” A central part of this philosophy is the yachts’ close connection to the surrounding environment, particularly at the stern.
Featuring fold-down aft bulwarks, open transoms and expansive hydraulic platforms, the design is said to draw inspiration from the Oasis Deck concept seen on several larger Benetti superyachts within the group. Azimut refers to these Seadeck stern areas as ‘fun islands’.
