Bates Wharf luxury floating homes manufactured by Bluefield
Introducing our new partnership with Bluefield Houseboats – a range of luxury floating homes that will revolutionise on water living!
Architect-designed for all seasons and situations, built to the highest standards using contemporary classic finishes and materials, Bluefield’s houseboats bring all the best aspects of land and water living together in one unforgettable lifestyle experience.
Perfect for rivers, lakes, marinas and end-of-garden moorings, the range is factory built and easy to install, in most cases avoiding the usual planning and flood risk hassle associated with this kind of craft.
Together, we are redefining the on-water experience.
Spending time by the water has proven benefits for both body and mind:
reduction of stress
improved sleep
cognitive ‘re-setting’, helping us restore our tired minds
better-regulated urban temperatures
increased positive mood
considered therapeutic spaces, with healing properties
better air quality
MODELS
The Bluefield range offers four models, each suited to marina, canal or riviera living:
R Series 500 & 750 (Residential): The premium range of floating homes for holiday and residential use, with endless customisation options. Fitted out to the highest specifications, from solid timber flooring and flush core internal doors, to PPC aluminium windows, they take the kind of luxury you’d expect on land and put it on the water.
B Series 500 & 750 (Bespoke): A contemporary houseboat with a completely flexible interior, using the same exterior shell of the R Series. Perfect for office space, cafés, studio, retail or custom uses.
M Series 250 & 350 (Marina): Specially engineered for marinas, built on a catamaran design for incredible stability and longevity, the M Series is constructed to effortlessly integrate into standard marina facilities, blending in with neighbouring craft and surroundings.
C Series 250, 310 & 500 (Cabin): With a pitched roof, giving a more traditional cabin-style look, the C Series is ideal for rivers, lakes and environmentally sensitive areas, where they blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
BLUEFIELD HOUSEBOATS
Bluefield’s mission is to create high quality spaces for the water, maximising the use of modern technology to regenerate and up-cycle previously inaccessible ‘bluefield’ water sites into usable space.
The team has combined the benefits of the marine, manufacturing and construction industries to create dynamic, modern and sustainable residential and commercial developments, offering the same standard of living on the water as on land, with absolutely no compromises.
Bluefield is proud to build on the rich boatbuilding pedigree of Northern Ireland, and are continually developing our supply chain to be able to deliver products globally.
BATES WHARF AND BLUEFIELD DEVELOPEMENTS
Bates Wharf was established over 150 years ago and we have great pride that W Bates & Son is one of the oldest boatyards and marinas on the River Thames.
We are one of the UK’s leading boat brokers, and specialists in everything from sports boats to fishing boats, cruisers to super yachts. At our Chertsey head office, we have the largest indoor boat showroom and chandlery on the River Thames. This complements our existing marina, on-land sales area, on water sales pontoon and workshop facilities.
Our intention is now to become the UK’s leading floating home experts, with multiple models on display to enable clients to view, understand and choose their bespoke on water dream.
Floating homes bring all the best aspects of land and water living together in one unforgettable lifestyle experience. Architect-designed for all seasons and situations, built to the highest standards using contemporary yet durable finishes and materials.
With lighter evenings approaching, what better time to start thinking of weekends away, extended stays, Airbnb opportunities or just a great reason to be nearer the water at all times.
