The Brig Eagle 8 was awarded both of the major sportsboat accolades this year for good reason. Working the Brig stand at Southampton in September gave me the chance to carry out a couple of demos on the Eagle 8 we had in the water and it was frankly phenomenal. Having grown up with traditional centre console sports boats I was simply blown away by the all weather performance offered by this rib. Unfortunately the demo area for the show had a rigorously enforced speed limit of 30 knots. At this speed the Eagle 8 was barely breaking a sweat and it felt as though you could cruise comfortably for hours. Wanting to see what she could do myself and two other team members took her out after hours one evening and were not disappointed. Even in a significant chop she returned a comfortable 60mph, more could be found with some trim adjustments too – Phenomenal. 

The Suzuki 350 provides much more than outright speed. Refined at low speeds and with a lovely soundtrack at pace as well as enormous low end torque and impressive top end performance you really do have the best of both worlds. The twin props also give you outstanding grip when manoeuvring making the most stressful part of boating a doddle.
