As we enter 2024, we have three models nominated for the European Powerboat Awards 2024 in different categories. The announcement of this year’s winners, took place at the Boot Düsseldorf (20.-28.01.2024).
up to 20 m category – Azimut Magellano 60
In the biggest boat class, considerations like “life on the water”, or the opportunity to spend multiple weeks traveling on board with several people, are taking into account. Once again the arrangements of space and the distribution of rooms on the different decks, together with the performance of the boat, are playing a huge role in this category.
Length: 18,47 m ● Beam: 5,15 m ● Displacement: 34920 Kg ● Engines: 1460 HP
Boats in this class have a focus on “Vacation on water” and “family suitability”. Boats in this category are often used for summer vacations in the classical sense, that’s why the arrangements of space and the distribution of rooms are very relevant.
Length: 8,99 m ● Beam: 2,99 m ● Displacement: 3888 kg ● Fuel capacity: 400 l ● Engines: 600 HP
New factors are added in the category up to 14 m – seaworthiness as well as range. Boats in this category have to be suited for longer distances, navigating across open water or traveling near the coast. The particular features needed to do so, like driving behaviour, safety and range, have a big impact on the valuation of the judges.
Length: 12,97 m ● Beam: 3.78 m ● Weight: 9111 kg ● Power: 900 HP
The announcement took place at the Boot Düsseldorf (20.-28.01.2024).
