Swanwick Freedom Boat Club (Solent)

Swanwick Freedom Boat Club opened in May 2024 and forms part of our Solent Hub with Hythe. Nestled in the River Hamble with plenty of restaurants en route to Southampton Waters, the hub is placed within the gateway to the best boating in the UK.

Hythe Marina Village Freedom Boat Club (Solent)

Hythe Marina Village Freedom Boat Club opened in May 2022 and forms part of our Solent Hub with Swanwick. The bright and spacious clubhouse is a vibrant hub for members to meet for coffee before getting straight out onto Southampton Water.

About the Solent Hub

Both Swanwick & Hythe are fantastic starting points for a trip out, with Ocean Village just across the water from Hythe, Swanwick offering multiple restaurants before you’ve even left the river, and the popular boating destinations of Calshot, Cowes and Beaulieu – all simply a short trip by boat.

The Solent fleet currently includes a Quicksilver 675 Open, two Quicksilver 675 Weekenders, a Bayliner VR6 Bowrider and our new boats: Iron 767 and Brig Eagle 8.

Thames Freedom Boat Club (Thames)

Situated just downstream from Chertsey Bridge on a tranquil stretch of non tidal Thames, Bates Wharf Marina is the perfect location to set off for a leisurely boating experience. Take a picnic to enjoy onboard or moor up outside one of the many pubs, restaurants, and hotels you will find along the river. Historic landmarks are within reach whether you head upstream to Runnymede, where the Magna Carta was sealed to Windsor to visit the castle, or downstream head towards Hampton Court palace. Cruising along the Thames with a scenic backdrop of English countryside is the perfect way to socialise with friends and family.

Just 5 minutes from Junction 11 of the M25 with free parking, excellent public transport links close by including direct trains into Central London, we look forward to welcoming you.

The Chertsey fleet currently has a Rand Picnic 18 and Mana 23.
